Gerson Dos Santos, Futsal Director
Gerson Santos is a former indoor and outdoor professional soccer player originally from São Paulo, Brazil. After playing futsal and outdoor soccer for several teams in Brazil such as Corinthians, Juventus, Foz Cataratas, he came to United States on a full scholarship to play for Virginia Commonwealth University in 2006, graduating in 2009 with a bachelors degree in Public Relations.
During his time playing for VCU, Gerson made the First Team Colonial Athletic Association in 2007 and was the MVP Nike Alltel Tournament. In 2008, he was chosen VCU Men’s Soccer Player of the Year. After college, he played professionally for Richmond Kickers from 2009 to 2012, winning the USL Championship in 2009. Gerson played professional indoor soccer for Norfolk Sharks in the MISL, making the Rookie Team of the Year in 2011.
Since his retirement from professional soccer in 2011, Gerson coached several outdoor teams and DA futsal programs in Richmond, Virginia. Such as the Richmond Kickers and Richmond United.
Gerson moved to California in 2018 and coached for LA Galaxy and ISG futsal academy before joining Tudela as the Futsal Director in April of 2019.
